Help! I Have A Teenaged Dog! (or acts like one…)

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation.  What a wonderful and awful time to get a new puppy/dog!  We can all stay home with our new puppies/dogs, but staying home is not necessarily the best learning and familiarization situation long term.  We are currently only scheduling classes in 6-week blocks to be able to stay on top of the health situation.

All classes will be held outside in front of the training building as weather permits.  Feel free to wear a mask, but please be sure to play with your dog at home wearing it prior to coming to class while wearing it.  If you have been exposed to or are showing any symptoms, DO NOT COME TO CLASS.  For the health and safety of your puppy/dog, age-appropriate vaccinations are still required as are the fecal test for parasites and giardia (there are veterinarians still doing these -- you may have to call around).  Do not interact with other people/puppies/dogs in the class.  Maintain the appropriate social distance of at least 6 feet at all times.  If we all follow these guidelines, we will be able to continue having in-person classes.

Starting June 20, 2020, Saturdays 11:00 -- 11:45 a.m. -- June 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, and August 1, 2020.

Starting July 13, 2020, Mondays 7:30 -- 8:15 p.m. -- July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, and 17, 2020.

Class Information Sheet

All dogs from approximately 5 months old (20 weeks) to approximately 3 years old. Current vet care required.

Dogs go through a "teenager" developmental phase too! And this time in a dog's life is exciting and challenging. This class will help you and your teenaged dog/puppy get through the “teenaged” time in your dog/puppy’s life. We will address your specific training concerns as well as making good choices, mental and physical exercise, and life skill behaviors such as stay, polite leash walking, appropriate greetings and coming when called.
